Gardens

Today we used the laptops to investigate what types of plants we might plant in our garden. We used the gardening guides on yates and palmers to help us think of what we might plant.

We had a vote and decided that we would like to have a vegetable and herb garden.

Here are some of the plants that we found we could possibly plant in March:

Cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, beetroot, winter lettuce, brussel sprouts, spinach, carrots, leeks, silver beet, parsley, basil, chinese cabbage

We then split into pairs and researched the answer to one of the following questions:

What are seeds?
What are plants?
What do plants need to grow?
How can we grow healthy plants?
What is the life cycle of a plant?
What do plants need protection from?

We then shared our findings with the class...
